Level 3 Verification – Source of Funds

Level 3 is a mandatory verification process designed to confirm the Source of Funds for the funds you invest. This process ensures that your account meets international financial security standards and remains fully compliant with global regulatory requirements.
 

When is Level 3 required?

You may proactively submit your documents as soon as your total accumulated deposits exceed 30,000 EUR. However, verification becomes mandatory if:

• The cumulative amount of your deposits reaches 50,000 EUR.
• The cumulative amount of your withdrawals exceeds 1,000,000 EUR.
• The SwissBorg team requests an upgrade to maintain account security.

💡 Notice: To ensure uninterrupted service, we recommend completing this verification proactively. If a mandatory threshold is reached first, any additional deposited funds will remain pending until your documentation has been successfully reviewed.

 

Why is this necessary?

This review is a key part of our commitment to international regulations. By verifying your Source of Funds, we ensure your account meets the highest security standards and remains fully protected. Completion of Level 3 unlocks our highest account tiers, providing you with seamless access for large transactions.

To remain compliant, we may occasionally request updated documentation as part of our ongoing security monitoring.


📋 Accepted Documents for Level 3

To ensure a smooth review process, please provide documentation clearly identifying the origin of your investment funds.

 

Source of Funds Required Documentation
Employee Salary certificate or last 3 payslips AND a bank statement showing salary credits.
Self-employed Latest income tax return AND a bank statement from the last 3 months showing business income.
Inheritance Inheritance documents AND a bank statement showing receipt of the funds.
Business owner Latest income tax return, documents confirming ownership AND personal/business bank statements showing dividends or profits.
Retirement Bank statements from the last 3 months showing pension payments AND the last 3 pension statements.
Savings / Investments Bank statements showing accumulation of funds OR an investment portfolio / share sale agreement.
Real estate sale Property sale agreement AND a bank statement showing receipt of the funds.
Family financial support Bank statements showing receipt of deposits, loans and/or donations AND supporting documents (e.g., loan agreement).

🛡️ Document Quality Standards

To avoid delays or rejections, please ensure your files meet the following criteria:

• Each document must clearly display your full name or your email address to verify that you are the account holder.
• Documents must be submitted in full (all four corners visible). Original PDF files are preferred over screenshots.
• If your wealth originates from digital assets, please provide relevant supporting documentation (e.g., exchange statements, transaction history, or bank statements showing fiat conversion).

 

How to upgrade to Account Level 3

  1. Open the app and go to the Profile section.
  2. Tap on "Account Level" in the menu.
  3. Scroll to “Level 3” and tap on “Verify.”
