Recommend or "Local" (SEPA) deposits
-
Copy the bank details provided in the app by tapping on any row (you can also share the bank details via apps on your phone, for example SMS or email);
-
Enter the details in your banking app or platform. Please keep in mind that:
-
The funds must come from a personal bank account that is registered with the same name as your SwissBorg account;
-
Your IBAN is unique, and you are the Beneficiary, there is no unique reference number for SEPA deposits.
-
Make a SWIFT (Global Transfer) deposit
The process is quite similar to SEPA deposits.The main difference is the reference number that needs to be used for SWIFT deposits. The reason for this is that SWIFT deposits are not sent to your personal SwissBorg IBAN address, but rather to an omnibus account in the name of “SwissBorg Solutions OU”. Our system needs the reference number to identify you and credit the deposit to your SwissBorg account.
Here are the steps:
-
Copy the bank details provided in the app by tapping on any row (you can also share the bank details via apps on your phone, for example SMS or email).
-
Enter the details in your banking app or platform. Please keep in mind that:
-
The funds must come from a personal bank account that is registered with the same name as your SwissBorg account;
-
Your unique reference number needs to be included in the payment details as “Reference” (for some banks the reference field is named differently, for example “Message to Beneficiary”, “Description” or "Reason for payment". Please confirm with your bank if you are unsure which field to use).
-
If you have any doubts or questions regarding making a deposit, or if you require assistance, please contact us through the app or via email at support@swissborg.com.
IMPORTANT!
If you try to make a SEPA deposit using the SWIFT bank details or vice versa, your deposit will be rejected. Therefore, please make sure to use the SWIFT bank details for SWIFT deposits and the SEPA bank details for SEPA deposits only.
-
If you make a deposit from an account in a different name, such as a company account or a spouse’s bank account, we will return the funds. Note that you will have to pay a processing fee in these cases.
-
According to our Terms of Use, all transactions must be carried out by users from their personal bank accounts for security and legal reasons.
-
If you have a joint account, please bear in mind that your name has to be listed as one of the senders.
Alternatively, you can provide an official statement proving that you are one of the account holders.

Spain & Portugal
If you want to send a deposit with Caixa Bank, we recommend making a SWIFT transfer.
Users from these countries have reported that their SEPA deposits were unsuccessful (i.e. funds were returned after few days and fees were charged) or SEPA is not available at all.
