Though most transactions on SwissBorg are processed instantly, it can happen, from time to time, that some transfer takes longer than usual. The most common reasons include:

  • Blockchain confirmations
  • Banking procedures
  • SwissBorg internal checks
  • Account level limits
Crypto transactions

If your crypto transaction is stuck in status "Pending", check the on-chain status of the transfer and make sure you didn't exceed your SwissBorg Account Level limit.

Each cryptocurrency has different operational timeframes on the blockchain, and therefore different processing times. Some cryptocurrencies take less time than others to be completed on the chain, and in most cases the total waiting time for the blockchain confirmation will depend on the processing fee paid by the sender. On average this takes just a couple of minutes for all the ERC-20 and BSC based tokens, and slightly longer times for BTC transactions as they require at least 3 confirmations on the blockchain.

You can check the on-chain status for each transaction with your transaction hash (transaction ID) in the relevant explorer.

The most common explorers can be found here:

Once the transaction is validated and completed on the chain, it still may take some additional processing time for the funds to be available in your SwissBorg wallet. This is due to internal procedures, and you will receive an email and in-app notification once the deposit is completed successfully. Keep in mind that for BTC deposits at least 3 chain confirmations are required, before the funds can be credited to your account.

NOTE

Always make sure the cryptocurrency you want to deposit is supported by SwissBorg, and that you use the correct blockchain protocol. A full overview of supported crypto assets and the required blockchains can be found in this article: Crypto Assets supported on SwissBorg.

Fiat transactions

If your fiat transaction is stuck in "Pending" status, this may be due to internal banking requirements or your SwissBorg Account Level, or additional information is required to allocate the funds. In this last case, you will be contacted by the SwissBorg Support team, so make sure to keep an eye out for in-app notifications and emails.

Fiat deposits and withdrawals can take anywhere between a few hours up to 5 business days to be processed, depending on inner banking procedures and working hours. In general, bank transactions are not processed during the weekends, so transactions made between Friday evening and Monday morning will usually be processed only on Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning.

This mostly applies to SWIFT transactions, as SEPA transactions tend to be instant, unless stopped for additional checks, either on our platform or the user's bank.
