What is a Passkey?
Passkeys are a modern, more secure alternative to passwords that allow users to log into websites and apps seamlessly. Instead of relying on passwords that can be guessed, stolen, or reused, passkeys use a strong and unique key pair that only works between your device and the service you’re logging into. This makes them resistant to phishing attacks, easier to use, and safer, as sensitive information isn’t stored on servers or shared across the internet.

Passkey is available on the most recent mobile devices.

If your phone supports Passkey, you will find the option to activate it under the Security Settings.

Recovering your SwissBorg account with Passkey

If you’ve lost access to your SwissBorg account and,

You changed your phone number (and lost access to the old one linked to your account)

You’re residing, temporarily or permanently, in an unsupported country

You currently don’t have any valid ID documents

Your account has been closed for security reasons

Your smartphone camera is damaged/not able to perform the tasks required
Then, unfortunately, you won’t be able to recover your SwissBorg account and, you should contact support@swissborg.com, preferably, with the same e-mail you created your account with.
Passkey recovery process

Install or Re-install the latest version of the SwissBorg app.

Open the app.

Enter your registered phone number.

Select "Passkey".

Tap on "Get Started".

Enter your Passcode PIN

Now your account should be restored!

Congrats! Your account recovery is completed.
NOTE
After the Recovery with Passkey, in order to protect our users' fund, an automatic 24-hour security delay will apply before you can withdraw any assets. We cannot shorten this delay.
