The SwissBorg Web App allows you to securely access your portfolio and trade crypto from your computer, using the same infrastructure, balances, and execution engine as the mobile app. It is designed for desktop-first portfolio monitoring, fast and secure trading, and high security and regulatory compliance.
Who can access the SwissBorg Web App?
Access to the SwissBorg Web App is rolling out progressively. Availability depends on account status and rollout phase.
How do I access the SwissBorg Web App?
Visit the official SwissBorg website, click “Log In”, select “Web App”, and authenticate using your passkey followed by mobile approval.
Login and Authentication
How do I log in to the SwissBorg Web App?
The Web App uses a two-step login flow designed to comply with Strong Customer Authentication requirements. First, authenticate with your passkey in the browser. Second, approve the login on your SwissBorg mobile app via push notification. If the mobile app is locked, you will be asked for your biometric identification or enter your PIN before approving.
Why is the mobile app required for web login?
The mobile app is required to meet regulatory security requirements. It ensures physical possession of a trusted device and requires explicit user approval for every web login, preventing unauthorized access even if a computer is compromised.
Do I need to enter a PIN on the Web App?
No. SwissBorg does not use passwords or browser-based PIN entry. PIN entry happens only inside the mobile app if it is locked.
What is Mobile Approval Authentication?
Mobile Approval Authentication means that every Web App login must be confirmed directly from your SwissBorg mobile app. You receive a push notification where you can approve or reject the login attempt. Without approval, access is denied.
How does the Web App meet Strong Customer Authentication requirements?
The Web App combines multiple authentication factors: a passkey representing possession of a device holding a cryptographic private key, a trusted mobile device with a non-exportable private key, and a PIN used as a knowledge factor to unlock the mobile app when required.

Can I log in using only a QR code?
No. QR-only authentication flows require additional security mitigations that are not implemented at this stage.
Account and Devices
Can I use multiple devices to access the Web App?
Yes. You can log in from multiple computers and browsers, provided the device supports passkeys and each login is approved through your SwissBorg mobile app.
What happens if I lose access to my mobile device?
If you lose access to your mobile device, you will not be able to approve Web App logins.

Portfolio
How do I view my portfolio on the Web App?
The Portfolio page displays your total portfolio value, asset allocation, individual asset balances, and fiat and crypto holdings. All information is synced in real time with the mobile app.
Why does my portfolio value change?
Portfolio value changes due to market price movements, executed trades, and applied fees.
Is my Web App portfolio the same as the mobile app?
Yes. Your portfolio is shared across Web and Mobile platforms and always remains in sync.
Trading
What trading features are available on the Web App?
For now, the Web App supports fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-crypto exchanges powered by Smart Engine execution.
What is the Smart Engine?
The Smart Engine automatically routes trades across multiple liquidity venues.
How long does a trade take?
Most trades execute within seconds. Execution time may vary depending on market conditions and liquidity.
Orders and Execution
Are limit orders available on the Web App?
Limit Orders may be introduced in future Web App phases.
Why does the executed price differ from the quoted price?
Small differences may occur due to market volatility, liquidity changes during execution, and Smart Engine routing decisions.
Fees and Pricing
Are fees different on Web and Mobile?
No. Fees are identical across Web and Mobile platforms.
Where can I see the fees for my trade?
Before confirming a trade, you will see the estimated fees, final execution amount, and net amount received.
Is my Web App activity monitored?
Yes. SwissBorg monitors Web App activity to detect suspicious behaviour and protect users.
What happens if suspicious activity is detected?
Depending on the situation, SwissBorg may temporarily restrict account actions, request additional verification, or notify you by email.
