In the SwissBorg app, price notifications can be defined and sent directly to your phone as a push- and in-app notification when your desired price is reached. The notification will contain information about the token, the target price reached, and an action button that will direct you to the crypto asset exchange screen. Please note that these alerts are not designed to work as conditional orders (limit or stop) as they do not allow you to automatically take profits or limit losses.

How do I set up a price alert?

Setting up a price alert is quick and easy! Simply follow these steps:

1. Go to the Invest section in the SwissBorg app and tap on "Buy Cryptos";

2. Tap on the crypto asset you’d like to set the price alert for;

3. Tap on the bell icon in the top right corner of the asset screen. This will either take you to the alerts list screen, if you already have one or more price alerts set up for this asset, or to the price alert creation screen if no price alerts are set up yet;

4. In the price alert creation screen, set the price for the alert by either typing in a price, or by moving the bar of the percentage scale left or right. If desired, you can also add a note to your alerts to remind you of the purpose of the alert (for example “Buy” or “Sell”). The quote currency is automatically set to the display currency you have selected for the app, but can be changed by tapping on the currency icon displayed in the top right corner of the screen and selecting a different currency from the list.

5. Once you’ve set the price for the alert, simply tap on the green circle with a checkmark to complete the process and you’re all done! Once the token price hits the amount that you’ve set, you’ll receive a notification in the app.

If one or more price alerts are set up for a certain crypto asset, the bell icon will appear in green with a transparent lightning bolt in it.

Before being able to receive notifications from price alerts, make sure you have notifications enabled on your phone. You will be able to set this up in one simple step when creating your first alert.

Once you have created one or more alerts, the system will check the current price of the token every 30 seconds. If the price has reached or passed your price alert amount, a push-notification is sent to your phone immediately, and an informational message will also be available in the notifications screen.

Tapping on the notification will take you directly to the crypto asset screen, so you can perform the actions for which purpose you had set up the alert. The triggered alert is automatically removed from the list, so if you want to repeat it you will have to set up a new alert. 

If you want to remove a price alert, simply open the Alerts List screen and swipe left on the alert, then select “Remove”. You will be prompted with a pop-up confirmation, and you’re done!
