You can use the SwissBorg Debit Card for any type of online purchase. You can also use it to pay at physical stores, provided you link to an Apple or Google Pay wallet.
Purchase made directly with the card’s details
Open your SwissBorg app, on the Portfolio page.
- Tap on ‘Crypto Card’
- Tap on the card’s image to reveal the details. You will be asked to enter the PIN.
- Tap on the ‘copy icon’ to copy the card number and details. Paste them on the merchant’s website, at the moment of your purchase.
3DS Authentication
As an additional layer of safety, most online transactions will require the so-called ‘3DS Authentication’. To approve this type of authorisation, the following screen will appear:
- Press on ‘Continue’.
- You will receive a push notification on your phone from the SwissBorg app.
- Open the notification and enter your Passcode.
- In the next screen, check the transaction again. If good, tap on ‘Authorise’. If it's not good, you can still cancel the purchase by tapping on 'Deny'.
- This screen will confirm the transaction as authorised:
Now you can return on the merchant’s site to complete your purchase.
NOTE: The 3DS authentication is not required for recurring payments like subscriptions or payments in physical stores.
Purchase made directly via Google Pay
- Add the card to your Google Pay account.
- Go to the merchant and complete the purchase by choosing the Google Pay option.
