How is my daily reward calculated?
In order to understand how your yield reward is calculated, you will need to know the tier rates of the day for your account type (Genesis, Community, Standard).
You can find them here: https://swissborg.com/chsb-yield (in the “Top CSHB Yield rate” tab) or in your app on the “Learn More” page of the CHSB Yield, under “CHSB Yield tiers”.
The CHSB reward is based on a system of tiers with associated APYs.
This is what tiers may look like:
Tiers |
APY |
0 - 2000 |
12% |
2.000 - 10.000 |
4% |
10.000 - 100.000 |
3% |
100.000 - 1.000.000 |
2% |
1.000.000+ |
1% |
Based on this we calculate the DPY (daily percentage yield):
DPY = (1+ yearly APY)^(1/365)-1
Tiers |
APY |
DPY |
0- 2.000 |
12% |
0.03105% |
2.000 - 10.000 |
4% |
0.01075% |
10.000 - 100.000 |
3% |
0.00810% |
100.000 - 1.000.000 |
2% |
0.00543% |
1.000.000 + |
1% |
0.00273% |
The tiers will be filled one by one, starting from the bottom.
Example for a 15K active balance:
-
2K→ 0.03105%
-
8K→ 0.01075%
-
5K → 0.00810%
Therefore, the daily rate in this case during this period is: (0.03105*2000+0.01075*8000+0.00810*5000)/ (2000+8000+5000) = 0.01257%
The yield earned for this day is: daily rate * active balance
Here: 0.01257%* 15000= 1.8855
How is the APY displayed on my portfolio calculated?
To calculate the APY displayed on your portfolio, calculate the genesis daily rate using the previous explanation and your active balance.
The APY displayed in the portfolio is the converted annual rate calculated as follow:
Converted_annual_rate =(100%+daily_rate_genesis)^365-1* account_type_factor
Account_type_factor = 1 for Genesis Premium; 0.75 for Community Premium and 0.5 for standard.
APY displayed for standard (assuming the previously stated rates was genesis)
= (100%+0.01257%)^365-1* 0.5= 2.35%
