Previously called Web3, our "Best Blockchains" Thematic is carefully curated and focuses on the most promising and foundational blockchains within the crypto space. Its aim is to provide investors with access to and insights in the fundamental infrastructure of the decentralized future.
Our approach offers diversified exposure, covering a range of L0, L1, and L2 blockchains, encompassing both established market leaders and rising stars, which ensures a well-balanced portfolio that mitigates risk. Our selection process involves a comprehensive analysis by our Investment Team, considering both qualitative and quantitative metrics for each included blockchain.
Furthermore, our dynamic allocation strategy keeps the portfolio updated with the strongest and most promising blockchains, allowing us to adapt swiftly to market changes and maximize potential returns.
The minimum investment amount is 5 EUR (or the equivalent in any other currency/token supported by SwissBorg) and rebalancing will be performed every 30 days.
The monthly subscription fee for the Best Blockchains Thematic is the same as for other Thematics, meaning 0.20% for Genesis and Generation Premium users and 0.25% for all other users, and it's automatically deducted from your balance.
|Top Layer 0|
|Polkadot (DOT)||5%||Polkadot is a coin that holds many accolades: It is user-governed, energy efficient, secure and interoperable. It is a product of the Polkadot blockchain which unites an ecosystem of blockchains called parachains, allowing apps and services to securely communicate across chains, forming the basis for the interoperable decentralised web.|
|Avalanche (Avax)||7.5%||Powering the Avalanche ecosystem is the AVAX token. Avalanche is a contender to the Ethereum blockchain with the aim of processing transactions at a much faster rate as well as being low-cost and environmentally-friendly.|
|Cosmos (ATOM)||5%||ATOM exists on the community-owned Cosmos network which aims to be the ‘internet of blockchains’. By design, it allows for the tokens generated from projects launched on the blockchain to be exchanged securely and with ease, contributing to an even greater decentralised world.|
|Top Layer 1s|
|Bitcoin (BTC)||20%||Often referred to as "digital gold", Bitcoin is the first and most well-known cryptocurrency. It introduced the primary value proposition of a Blockchains that can store and exchange value independently of traditional financial systems and governments. It has a strictly capped supply of 21M BTC that cannot be manipulated.|
|Ethereum (ETH)||20%||Ether was founded in 2013 and is the second largest coin globally by market capitalisation. The coin is powered by the community-run Ethereum blockchain which is used to create apps, support transactions and more, all whilst retaining privacy and security for its users.|
|Solana (SOL)||7.5%||With SOL being its native coin, Solana is the fastest blockchain in the world, responsible for thousands of projects in the digital sphere. Aside from running at hyperspeed, Solana is decentralised, secure and incredibly low cost for developers to utilise.|
|Aptos (APT)||2.5%||Aptos, launched in October 2022 by former Meta (previously Facebook) "Diem" team members, is a Layer-1 blockchain. With $150 million in funding, it aims to transform the Layer-1 PoS (Proof of Stake) Blockchain sector by improving scalability, security, and affordability of transactions through its unique programming language, Move.|
|Near Protocol (NEAR)||2.5%||NEAR is the native token of the ambitious Near protocol. Near allows developers to create dApps on a network that is aiming to be the fastest in the blockchain space. It offers the concept of ‘infinite scalability’ so that performance is optimised despite network growth.|
|Top Layer 2s|
|Polygon (MATIC)||7.5%||MATIC is the native coin generated on the Polygon blockchain. Polygon helps developers build scalable, user-friendly dApps on the Ethereum network with low transfer fees and a big focus on security and stability.|
|Optimism (OP)||5%||Optimism is a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum, increasing the throughput of the network by using a technology called Optimistic Rollups. It aims to significantly reduce transaction fees and boost the speed of transactions on the Ethereum network. Optimism is at the front of the battle for the number one position in the L2 space.|
|Arbitrum (ARB)||5%||Arbitrum is a Rollup solution that enhances Ethereum's scalability. Since its launch, it has consistently been a leading name in crypto, and tightly sits in the front of the Layer 2 sector. The value of Arbitrum lies in its ability to provide faster and cheaper transactions while maintaining a high level of security.|
|SwissBorg (CHSB)||10%||CHSB is SwissBorg’s own token and acts as a key to wealth generation for its valued users. SwissBorg implements coin buyback and burn to increase the value of CHSB over time and gives users the ability to earn yield and vote on key referendums.|
|Stacks (STX)||2.5%||Bitcoin's blockchain is highly secure but lacks advanced features. Stacks (STX) is a Layer 2 solution that augments Bitcoin by introducing smart contracts and enabling the creation of decentralized applications (dApps). Its unique strength lies in its proof of transfer (PoX) consensus method, which taps into Bitcoin's proven proof of work (PoW) security.|
