The various Earn strategies available in the SwissBorg app have a 24-hours cycle that ends at 8am UTC each day. This means that every day at this time, new subscriptions are enrolled and redemptions and yield payouts are processed.
To give you more control over your wealth and more opportunities in the DeFi space, we are now also offering Earn strategies with alternative lockup periods, varying from 30 days up to 90 days.
Longer lockup periods are an efficient way towards higher APY rates, which means these strategies will generate higher returns than the standard 24-hour Earn strategies. However, they also come with higher risks, and are therefore marked as High Risk Strategies. As always, we recommend you to conduct your own research before making any investments.
During the lockup period it is not possible to subscribe, top up or redeem your funds from the Strategy. Lockup strategies have a presubscription period during which you can subscribe to the strategy before it launches, or top up your funds. A countdown shows you the remaining time left to subscribe or top up and once the presubscription period has ended, the strategy will launch. Please note that once you subscribe, your funds cannot be redeemed for the duration of both the presubscription and the lockup period.
The Start date and End Date of each strategy is displayed in the strategy details.
During the lockup period you can always see the balance of your strategy wallet, as well as the Estimated APY and Yield rates, and the countdown until the end of the lockup period and the payout.
It is important to keep in mind that, even though your locked up funds are generating yield for the whole duration of the strategy, the yield is not paid out every 24 hours but only once at the end of the lockup period.
Once the lockup period has ended, the payout of the earnings and the redemption of your funds is done automatically. The redemption will briefly show as “Pending” in the transaction overview of the strategy, and the payout will appear as “Processing Payout”.
Once the payout and redemption are processed, the status will change to “Strategy Complete” and your funds, including the earned rewards, will be allocated to the regular wallet.
